Meet Spencer:
Hi, my name is Spencer Igo.
I grew up here in Grand Rapids. In my time in school I was an active member of the renowned Grand Rapids Bands. I was also a member of the Grand Rapids Swim Team. I graduated in 2014 from GRHS and from there enrolled at the University of North Dakota. Entering college, my goal was to become an engineer. Upon my first few months, I found that I had a different calling. That calling was to build communities and help people. I then switched my major to Public Administration. My time in college is what gave me a larger scope for community service. I joined the Fraternity Pi Kappa Alpha. Through my fraternity, I would lead and take part in my philanthropic actions in the community of Grand Forks. My involvement earned me the respect of my brothers and I served as our chapter president for my senior year. I graduated in May of 2018. After graduating, I was offered the opportunity to work as the Field Director for Congressman Jason Lewis on his re-election campaign for Minnesota's Second Congressional District in the Twin Cities. My experience down there taught me many things from community organizing to learning how to work with high level officials. Through that experience, I couldn't deny the urge to find a way home back north. In December of 2018, I was given that chance. I interviewed with Congressman Pete Stauber to become part of his District Office. When I was told I got the job, I was overcome with emotion. I was to be returning home, but I would be returning home to work every day and helping people. Not just any people, the people that raised me, my community. Working as Congressman Stauber's Field Representative have given me countless experiences with our regions leaders and people. I have been involved with decisions that are affecting our homes and communities. The gift in building relationships with people all across Northeastern Minnesota and hearing first-hand their issues and concerns for the State of Minnesota. My job only further fueled my love for our community and the passion to one day serve it further. Now serving as the Representative in House District 7A I have been a loud and delivering voice for my constituents. From forestry to mining. Schools to public safety. The people of my district have given me the playbook that they want done in St. Paul and that is what I have worked to deliver. The privilege to serve and be the best voice I can for all of us drives me everyday. Growing up in Northern Minnesota is what I consider to be my greatest blessing in my life. The communities that I am serving have given me so many memories, skills, and relationships.

About Andrea in her own words
Mother of four, long-time northern Minnesotan, and candidate for Minnesota Senate District 3. I cannot sit idly by while Democrats attempt to regain control of the Minnesota Senate. I am running to be your next state senator to bring integrity and values to St. Paul. District 3 needs a strong leader, and that is what I am. I will bring forward my experience as a mother, wife, mayor, and small business owner to effectively represent you and our way of life in northern Minnesota. I own z'Up North Realty, and my husband is the 4th generation in our family to own Zups family grocery, which has been in business for over 100 years. We proudly built our livelihood and raised our children here, in northern Minnesota. In addition to our businesses, I have humbly served the City of Babbitt as mayor, now in my 10th term, and served two years on the city council prior to that. I also serve on the St. Louis County Board of Commission and Planning and Zoning for the last four years. I remain immersed and vested in this district, and now I am asking for your support as I run for state senate. I have served as a Fight for Mining Member, Mining Minnesota Member, and Board Member of Jobs for Minnesotans. These positions have allowed me to fight for our economy, our future, and our way of life. I've advocated and testified numerous times for mining jobs at the Capitol in St. Paul and in Washington D.C. In 2015, I was invited to a 15-person panel discussion with President Obama's Chief of Staff, where the national steel crisis directly impacted our region. As an advocate for domestic mining, I was also invited to a 12-person panel discussion with President Trump. We discussed the importance of the Iron Range and about our future in depth. With strong leaders and advocates behind, that future is bright. I also serve as a Board Member of the Range Association of Realtors and on the Minnesota Realtors Professional Standards Committee. I will boldly advocate on the issues and be a strong voice for Northern Minnesota.

About Rob:

Rob Farnsworth is serving his first term in the Minnesota Senate, representing District 7, which includes parts of Saint Louis, Itasca, and Aitkin counties. In the Senate, he serves on the Education Finance, Higher Education, and Transportation committees and chairs the Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board (IRRRB).

Rob lives in Hibbing with his wife, Jamie, and their four children: Hannah, Isaac, Abigail, and Samuel. He grew up in Chisholm and graduated from Chisholm High School in 1996. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas, double-majoring in History and Social Studies, and later earned a Master of Science in Special Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Rob has been a teacher for more than 20 years, with experience ranging from Mounds View High School in the Twin Cities suburbs to Thistledew Camp in Togo, where he also served as local union president. He currently works as a special education teacher in the Hibbing school district and as a real estate agent with Village Realty.

Meet Jason:
Jason Rarick was born and raised in Pine City, Minnesota. A lifelong citizen of Pine County, he graduated from Pine City High School in 1988. In 1990, he graduated from Minneapolis' Dunwoody College of Technology with an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) Degree after completing their electrical program. In 1992, Rarick was accepted into the St. Paul Electrical Union, IBEW 110. In his union he served on 3 different committees, including being on the apprenticeship committee for over 4 years. He completed his apprenticeship program in 1996 and became a Master Electrician in 1997. In 2004, Rarick became a self-employed electrical contractor at Rarick Electric.
Jason has been an active member of his community for nearly 35 years. This includes time spent as a religious education instructor, a youth athletics coach, and as a school board member. For the past 30 years, Jason has been a member of the Knights of Columbus. He currently serves as the Trustee at St. Joseph's Church in Beroun and as a Board Member for Habitat for Humanity.
In 2014, Jason was elected to serve the people of Pine and Kanabec Counties as their State Representative in House District 11B. He has been re-elected twice in 2016 and 2018. In St. Paul, Jason has been active working to lower health care costs, decreasing the tax burden on working families, defending labor, protecting life, and increasing penalties for repeat drunk drivers.
In his free time, Jason enjoys spending time with his son, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and cheering on Minnesota sports teams. He currently resides on his family farm in southern Pine County.

WHO IS JEFF DOTSETH:
Jeff has worked in the real estate business for a better part of his life and loves working with people to solve one of the most important financial decisions a person can make. His company, Jeff Dotseth & Associates Realty Incorporated, offers would-be home and property owners a variety of special services. He has been in the real estate and construction business for over 20 years too. Jeff has extensive experience in residential real estate, including commercial and unique properties - together with expertise in land sales and purchases he has become known as the "go to man" for anything real estate.

The value of Jeff's family is a cornerstone to his passion to serve all families of this district. He believes that strong families can weather life's challenges best. He will support and promote all legislative decisions at the capitol that put our families as priority one. Jeff is a long time resident to our area and involved in the communities where he works and lives. Jeff’s faith and commitment to his community is a important part of his life. He and his family are very active in his church and he has served on many community organizations.

Meet Pete:
Growing up in Duluth as one of six brothers playing hockey at the neighborhood rink, Pete Stauber knows how to fight back. A former professional hockey player and retired police officer of 23 years, Pete is fighting in Congress for our way of life. After graduating from Duluth Denfeld High School and receiving a Division I hockey scholarship, Pete led Lake Superior State University to a national championship in 1988. Pete played professional hockey in the Detroit Red Wings organization. After retiring from professional hockey, Pete returned to Minnesota to start a family business and served more than two decades in law enforcement. During the years of his service, Pete served both as the President of the Law Enforcement Labor Services Union, Local 363 and as an Area Commander with the Duluth Police Department. After 22 years of service with the department, Pete retired in August 2017. Pete and his wife, Jodi, know what service and sacrifice to your country means. Pete’s wife, Jodi, is a decorated Iraq War Veteran with more than 20 years of service. Jodi was also previously involved with the Minnesota Air National Guard Yellow Ribbon Program, helping military members reintegrate into civilian life. Pete and Jodi currently reside in Hermantown where they are raising six children – Levi, Luke, Isaac, Addilyn, Theo, and Genevieve.

Working for District 3A
The priorities of Northern Minnesota are heard and respected at the Capitol, reflecting our values, our communities, and our unique way of life. I focus on the issues I hear about most from people across District 3A.
Roger J. Skraba
I’m Roger J. Skraba, and I serve as your Minnesota State Representative for District 3A, representing Koochiching, St. Louis, Lake, and Cook counties. As your representative, I focus on listening to our communities and standing up for the values that matter here in Northern Minnesota. My public service includes time as Mayor of Ely, three terms on the Ely City Council, and years of service to our region. I’ve also worked as a wilderness guide and carpenter, and served nine years in the U.S. Army. These experiences have shaped how I approach problem-solving, leadership, and representing District 3A in St. Paul. I’m a lifelong resident of Ely and have long been involved in our community, including work with the St. Louis County Planning Commission and supporting our outdoor trails and local priorities. I’m honored to continue serving District 3A in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

Meet Natalie
Natalie Zeleznikar is a long-time resident of District 3B and lives in Fredenberg Township. She is married to Dan and together they have two sons and a daughter in law.

She was a licensed nursing home administrator for 30 years, and co-founded a nursing home alternative for her grandma Hazel in 2005 as a minority owner, and CEO. This alternative was an assisted living model with fewer seniors under a roof for higher care needs. This model provided the desired quaint atmosphere for the last chapter of life that mirrored living on the farm. For nearly ten years this model served 10 Northern Minnesota communities, and in 2013 the majority owners sold. Following the sale, Natalie continued as the CEO under new ownership until 2020.

Natalie just completed her third year as a state representative and serves on the Children and Families Finance and Policy, Health Finance and Policy, Rules and Legislative Administration, and Workforce, Labor, and Economic Development Finance and Policy committees.

Natalie's Roots
Natalie grew up in St. Francis, Minnesota on a family farm. Her dad was a principal at the middle school she attended, and later became the Superintendent for District 15. Her parents, Mike and Kathy Wyatt raised three kids and instilled the importance of community and volunteering. Growing up in a farm community allowed her to experience and watch citizens working together for the betterment of the whole. My days were filled with school, school activities, and normal farm chores. Free time was spent riding horses and playing with numerous cats in the barn. Nothing fancy, just hard work, and discipline. There were many days the bus driver stopped the bus to say, “Wyatt kids off the bus, the cows are out”. This is typical of farm life especially when your dad is the principal and your mom is a bus driver on another route.

About Cal:
Cal Warwas is a third-generation miner and a 27-year member of Local Union 1938. During his time at United States Steel, Mt. Iron, Cal has served in many roles, including Laborer, Operator, Millwright, and Ironworker. He is now a Planner working in Central Maintenance at the Fab Shop. He was born in Virginia, Minnesota, and has lived on the Iron Range his whole life. He lives in Clinton Township, where he is serving in his second term as a Supervisor on the local town board.

Cal and his wife, Maria, have nine children (four of them in their twenties), and three adorable grandkids! Their older children also live and work in the area, bringing new perspectives to the family conversation as they share their own experiences in a variety of fields, which include Lead Diesel Technician, Official Court Reporter, Personal Care Attendant, Apprentice Union Electrician (IBEW), and Municipal Golf Course Cook.

Cal is a former Director on the Range Association of Municipalities and Schools (RAMS) Board. He is an active member of the St. Louis County Association of Townships, as well as the Minnesota Association of Townships (MAT). He has met with legislators in St. Paul as a township officer and separately as a member of RAMS. He also represents the St. Louis County Association of Townships to the Arrowhead Regional Development Commission (ARDC).

Cal has been a passionate promoter of precious metals mining in our area for many years. Understanding the intense need for the minerals essential to our modern way of life, as well as our national defense, he has traveled to Washington, D.C., with Fight for Mining Minnesota. He has also locally worked to promote the mission of Better In Our Back Yard—a group of industry professionals dedicated to increasing education about the benefits of keeping our mining, manufacturing and heavy industry jobs close to home, here in Minnesota, where we already have excellent environmental standards, a well-trained union workforce, and solid protection for workers’ safety.
